It's 100% Stainless Steel. It won't rust, tarnish, corrode, oxidize, etc. If it ever gets dirty, it will shine right up with some metal polish :) Brushed is easiest for upkeep because you can just wipe it down with whatever cleaner you're using on the car. Polished you need to treat like your cars paint. Only use metal polish and a microfiber when cleaning it or you will make swirl marks.
