I'm looking for help in repairing my digital dash. While at an idle the volt meter went to 17.5 volts and then the dash reading went crazy. Different parts of the dash would light as if it was shorting out. At times the display went out all together. The alternator was replaced and it worked fine for a short time (20 miles). Now the display comes and goes on all the gauges. The volt meter now jumped back up to 17 volts when the display works. I have checked the ground wire at the transmission, frame and driver side rocker panel thinking that was the problem. Still no luck. I do not want to send the dash out for repairs if the problem has something to do with a poor ground or power connection. I'm thinking somewhere their is a poor connection on some part of the system. HELP!

I'd ship that dash to midamericamotorworks.they sevice digital dashs on C4 vettes so just ship them yours pay the fee and save the head ach...they'll restore that dash to its factory finish....www.midamericamotorworks.com feel free to call the tech reps about you problem they'll hook you up....
