just finished rotors and shocks and wanted to test drive but battery was dead so put on charger bout 2-3 hours later very hot, boiling and smoking coil. yes ignition in off position and key on console. disconnected battery. continuity test to ground has 1] hot wire from starter solenoid battery terminal to ignition 2] r term on solenoid to coil + side and resistance wire [same side tied together on coil] or seperated had continuity to ground. dropped starter no cooked wires. i am at ignition switch removed and tested but not grounding from any terminals. resistance wire at coil not grounding with ignition switch disconnect and i ordered new ign switch and waiting for arrival. hard enough to get to ignition sw with out replacing! THANKX
I FOUND THE CAUSE OF PROBLEM! IGNITION SWITCH REPLACEMENT AND NORMAL.
