ok vette heads, i have now gotten the dreaded 1255(see other post titled need tech help) EBCM internal failure, I have read in some other posts that a couple of other fellas got this code when driving over rough surfaces, if car sits for couple hours the abs & tcs light will not come on then when i take a ride still not on, until a rough patch of road then there they are and 1255 is stored, i have been trying to research this before just throwing a new EBCM at it, as i mentioned in other thread all this happend when put i put new tires and rims on, i feel i throughly check wheel install found no damage, also still cant get rear tire sensors to read, even after installing new sensors in rear tires(front sensors rear fine) i have been told the reason for the rear sensors wont read is because of the other problem with the EBCM, just want you guys opinion on this 1255code. I have read these modules being replaced for other dtc's but cant find anyone with more info on 1255 could it be a ground concern?? Please somebody help this is driving me nuts:willy_nilly:

Send me your EMail and I'll send you some info on cleaning the connections and grounds and also a repair service for the EBCM versus having to buy a new one... I assume you made sure the connector is tight on the BPVM also?

Forgot your TPS problem, the EBCM should have no bearing on it what so ever. It's one helluva coincendence though isn't it?

Anyway, it really sounds like the batteries are dead in the tire transmitters, I can't imagine that the tire shop screwed em up installing them. Do you still have your old ones?

I had a problem with my electrical system awhile back and it all was stemmed from the ground wire from my starter being just a fraction loose!! When I had my headers installed the shop must have accidentally knocked the ground and did'nt even notice it! I had codes popping up ranging from traction control to decreased engine power, and all because of one ground wire!! Go figure!!
