I have an 89 and the right side headlight motor wil flip up when i turn on the lights, but wont go back down when I turn the lights off

You need to do the bushings. Not a horrible job.

Get the brass gear too, no point in doing it twice.

That sounds more like the relay for the right side headlight is failing.

Injector Plus is right, bushings and it is an easy job!

I have gone through that along with so many other C4 owners.
