How soon can I wax after new paint?

Isn't it like 30 days? I have heard that paint can take up to 90 days to fully cure?

It was painted in November so it hasnt seen the sun yet but I am in Illinois and spring hasnt decided to show up yet. Every day I walk by it and it is killing me not to be cleaning it.

 I was told by body guy the same thing, paint takes up to 90 days to fully cure or harden. You might want to check with the body shop to be safe. However you said you had the paint done in November? I would bet its good to go also.

My son just had his 3000GT painted and I grilled the shooter about this, He was emphatic about modern paint systems not needing the curing time that the older paints needed. He stated that it could be waxed when we got home, as a matter of fact he had waxed before we picked it up.

BUT it would be a darn good idea to talk to whoever shot your car... they may have used an older paint system.

Thanks everyone I just called on the paint. I could have saved you all the work. He told me it could have been waxed right away or when ever I wanted to have at it.

Thanks everyone.
