Here's a little mod I got from a friend (Aloha, Tom!! :seeya:) and thought I'd share...
Are you tired of having to move everything in the cargo area to lift the storage panel and access the compact disc changer??
You can create a hinged rear section of the panel itself simply by using a dremel cut-off wheel or similar and scoring the fiberboard the panel is made from, using the carpet as the hinge.

Here's a picture of the un-reinforced panel after cutting, be very carful NOT to cut the carpet!!
I used the dremel to cut the majority and a sharp utility knife to finish...

Simple black duct tape reinforces the hinge...

I have a rear deck saver tucked into the storage/CD area and use that to lift the panel when I need to.
You can add a simple pull strap to the underside in order to lift the panel otherwise...:thumbsup:
