: more bs issues
Lightning2Z06 05-07-2010, 02:32 AM So I know my ride is almost 9 years old (2001) but only 30k miles. Monday I fixed the annoying clicking in the rear end...NOW my AC/heater blower doesn't work. I'm gonna guess that its the actual blower motor since I still have cold air, functional display, and all the fuses have checked out ok...I really hope this doesn't dwarf into a Ford...
Raydawg357 05-07-2010, 06:05 AM I don't thing a vette could ever dwarf into a Ford :smilielol5:

if that was the case 9 years and a ford would have = rusted out floor boards. Are these the only 2 things you had to fix?
jgillen1 05-07-2010, 09:29 AM LET'S CHANGE THAT FROM DWARF TO MORPH BEFORE WE OFFEND ANY LITTLE PEOPLE OUT THERE.:doh::doh::doh:
Lightning2Z06 05-07-2010, 09:35 AM ok ok morph it is, sorry little people. No this car has had only a few minor issues here and there, since Ive had it. Just dont want this to be the start of anything

Remember, The Universe gives you what you THINK about most. So, if it's REPAIR or BREAK DOWN what you are thinking about, well, guess what..."YOUR WISH IS MY COMMAND". That's exactly what THE UNIVERSE will send your way. If you've only had a couple of issues with your 'Vette...then be greatful and have an ATTITUDE of GRATITUDE. You'll see that with this type of appreciation for what you have, you'll attract into your life more good things to be greatful for... Just my two cents... Hope everything works out for you... RedSoxFan 05-07-2010, 06:41 PM Is it the fan settings that aren't working? Maybe it's just the blower motor resistor.

check out that other thread, I had to separate the rear spindle and arms to expose axle threads and then applied anti-seize. Put it all back together, took aprox. 2 hrs. with the help of a master tech ;)

Not sure, plan on looking more tomorrow, i can turn it "on" as far as my display reads and turn up the speed but no air, NONE AT ALL will come out of the vents, I can feel the cold air when i do turn the ac on but still no blow
Lightning2Z06 05-08-2010, 07:46 AM Replaced the blower motor this morning, dang I may need to see a chiropractor after that!!!
Junkman2008 05-08-2010, 08:45 AM Okay, getting back to your problem, here's my first question. Look at your display on the HVAC. Is the outside temperature being displayed, correct? Also, have you checked the blower motor fuse (#51, which is a 30A fuse)?

Yeah I spent the morning looking everything over as far as fuses and then testing voltage/resistance at the blower. All power was there and I ended up buying a new blower, it was a pain in the neck (literally) to get to, and replaced it with a blower from autozone. 70 dollar repair. All is good
Junkman2008 05-08-2010, 09:13 PM Outstanding. Good to hear. I was going to send you a flow chart that trouble-shoots the blower motor but you have to have a Tech II or simi;ar to use it.

Great to hear all is good... Think of it this way...By the time you have to deal with this again, you'll probably own a C7...lol. Stay safe... "Ricovette"

$70 is a cheap fix. And you were worried. Most repairs are a pain in the butt. Nice to see you had success.:friday:
