:cheers:When driving at about 25-30 mph the engine feels like it is surging or maybe cutting out. As soon as you give it a little gas it stops. It only does this at this speed and runs great otherwise. I thought it might be the transmission lagging in 3rd but when I drop it into 2nd it still does it.
Also is there any way to reset the tach, when I shut off the car it drops to 1000 rpms not 0, and is constantly 1000 higher then it's true rpms.
This is my 2nd 1980 Corvette but first time on the forum. Thanks, Chuck

When you shut off the engine in a car with an electric tachometer, the tach needle stays at whatever rpm it was at when you killed the engine. The surging you're experiencing sounds like a fuel problem. If you have a Quadrajet carburator, make sure the tiny fuel filter in the carb's inlet isn't plugged. Better yet to throw it away and put an inline filter along the right side frame rail.
