Anybody have problems with their air conditioning vents. When the air conditioner is on it only blows out the defroster vents, gets kind of hot in sac.

I believe it some sort of vacuum leak, but don't know where to look or what to look for.

Any ideas would be helpful, thanks! :confused:

Don't know what year you have, but am familiar with LT1'S.

Remove the pass/side fuel rail cover & check the vacumn valve for disintegration. It has several vac lines running to it from the firewall.

I checked the valve and it was completely disconnected. Called around to see if anyone carried the part but no luck. Looks like i'll have to search mailorder and wait for the part.

In the meantime I kind of pushed the parts together as tight as I could and the vents started to function again.

Someone on another forum just bought one from the dealer. Part # is14056648. $7.00. He recommended the dealer rather than Napa, etc.
Glad it was an easy fix.
