I have a spare LT1 that has been in my garage for quite sometime now and if I were to rebuild it would making it into a 383 stroker be the best thing to do? I mean what kind of money would I look at spending in making it into a mild 383?

That is dependent upon a lot of things. What is your definition of "mild" and how much of it can you do yourself?
