Well I guess I'll be the first to add to the Z06 section here. I just bought my first Z06 about 3 weeks ago, and what a deal I got. It is a 2002 Millenium Yellow Z06, it already had installed long tube headers, performance x-pipe, dual Borla Stingers, Vara-Ram cold air intake, and a B&M Ripper short throw shifter. I have added a few other things since I brought it home, which was a 1,200 mile home from its previous owner in Vermont, to my home in southeastern Tennessee. If you've never driven a Z06 you need to find someone that owns one and see about driving it, it is awesome, well just read up on them and you'll see what I mean.

That is a great looking ride! How do you like the Borla Stingers?

I like them a lot. I don't have anything to compare them to though since when I bought the Z06 it already had them on it. I think it has a very very nice sound, very muscular yet not to overwhelming, but louder I guess then stock. I also like the fact that it looks much cooler to me from the rear, and I think that it really needed the larger diameter tips (4") since it seems to breath better.

I will try and get a video sound clip made and posted on my custom page soon, as soon as it warms up a little here, today was the first time I've taken it out of the driveway in about 2 weeks.

Thanks for the nice comments too :D Oh here is a link to the custom page that I made for it on my website, there is about 80+ pictures and descriptions there: http://www.fastcoolcars.com/2002-Z06-Corvette.htm

I agree, until someone rides or drives a Z06, they have no idea how far above they are other cars performance-wise. I've had big block stingrays, heavily modified mopars, etc., nothing compares to the violent acceleration or incredible grip these cars have. You have to experience it.

Great looking ride... looks like you have a few things already done to it... what goals do you have for the car this year? What new "items" do you have on your wish list?

A local friend and owner of a speed shop is talking with me on a custom heads and cam set-up that he said should put me at 500+ RWHP on just motor, that is a possiblilty. A set of 19" CCW sp500's is a poosibility, maybe a brake rotors change. Just enjoying the ride now.

That cam depending on how aggressive will make your ride sound great. I always enjoy listening to a well tuned car with aggressive cam. Post some videos when you get the cam in!

Yellow Vettes! I'm a new Vette owner and just signed on this forum today your Vette was one of the first that I noticed for obvious reasons. Nice! Looks like you have some experience around sports cars, I would like to start adding some mods and don't know where to start, any suggestions? Thanks:cool:

Welcome, and thanks for the notice of 'my yellow' Z06. There are many places to start with mods, a new cold air intake, or exhuast may be in order. or a few visual enhancing mods may be to your likeing, or maybe a supercharger :D what are you most interested in changing first? What kind of money are you wanting to spend also...

Hi Ron, are you running stock suspension or aftermarket? Also you mentioned a brake rotor change? What are you thinking to upgrade too?

I'm still searching and researching the brake rotor choices. I found a set if carbon fiber rotors, talk about light weight, and lots better stopping distance and hardle any heat build up 1k per rotor, and another 3k for the calipers. I'm not sure which way I wanted to go though, I like the look of the slotted and cross-drilled rotors and actually I will probably not track or race often so that portion of the rotors life is not overworked. Same thought with the CCW SP500 wheels, I'm probably going to buy a set of those in 19" all the way around. So many decisions, I'm in no hurry, and looking for deals all the time.
