: Question on what judges look for at car shows?

This year I would like to participate in car shows with my 2001 C5. Over the years I always attend the shows around Miami. I like to look at all the Vettes and what people have done. I have noticed alot of Vettes don't have alot done to them, which is good because mine is pretty much stock minus exhaust.

So I was curious do judges look for mods out roof? Or during judging do they consider super clean cars that are stock?

For the larger shows, you will have a category you enter into. If your car is stock, you would enter the stock category for the '97 - '04 Corvettes and only compete against them. Judges look at everything  Sometimes they even have category's for daily drivers so things like rock chips, door dings, etc. will be looked over. Basically just try to get your Vette as clean as possible inside and out, buff / claybar the paint, detail the engine bay, interior, detail the rims and tires. Judges also like custom parts or little things that they don't see all day on everyone else's car. Just have fun and you'll win eventually!

Well said!!! I think it depends on the show and who is judging, If there is a score sheet, there are specific items looked/graded, if not, just get it as clean as you can, detail, detail, detail!!! That's my approach!!!
Good Luck with your show:cheers:

Clean every nook and cranny. Door jams, weather stripping, door sills and the bottom of the doors, inside trunk or hatch area. I think the judges look for dirt more than anything.
