Is there a rough guess as to how much power one would get with the install of an electric WP? On a pretty much stock motor?
Second question, the install of a pulley kit from Ecklers, does that free up some ponies? It's their crank pulley kit.

Electric water pump is good for about 10 hp at the crank. But it is good for the short bursts at the drag races only. On the highway the alternator eats up what the electric pump saves.

95Vette is right only about 10hp. I had one on my C3! took it off when it started to eat 120 amp alternators. Both 87 and 90 Vettes have Edelbrock high out put water pumps. 47% more cooling flow, helps on those 100 plus degree days when stuck in traffic.

So it's a wash then?

Yup! Unless you have an LT1/4 that is.

By the time you get around to worrying about an electric water pump, there's a whole lot more that should be done with a motor for it to matter.
Having one high end part on a stock motor, is kinda pointless.

I agree,..on a stock car, you will never know the difference, and waste several hundred bucks that could be used more effectively on intake or exhaust upgrades.

For the price, it's just not worth it.
