Here is the thing, my blower is only coming on when it wants to and generally not blowing much when it does. I went out and picked up what I was told was the correct part from the auto store. When I tried putting the new one in I realized the new had only 4 pegs and the old one was 5??? I called up the store just to confirm and he said the 4 peg is the correct one??

any one with some advice for me? Which is the correct one? 4 or 5 pegs?

I think you are talking about the part that is on the passenger side close to the fire wall? I think I have a 72 wiring diagram I will check it to night. That is the speed control If Iam right.

One style is for an A/C Car and the other is for a NON-A/C car if i'm thinking of the right part. There are 2 diffrent relays made for our vettes. My parts store gave me a 4 prong and i needed a 5 prong for an A/C car.

Often the problem is with the relay connector! Pull it off and inspect for burning and corrosion. I found a new connector on ebay at Planetautoparts, I think.
