Hello ya'll;
I just got a 1984 vette and want to race it in a street class at the drag strip.just looking at it , looks like I can put a hi-rize intake on it, not worried about room under the hood as I will be putting a hood scoop of some kind on it. what I need to know is how to by-pass the computer.once I have the new in take on will be taking the cats and muffers off. this car won't be driving on the street so not worried about passing state inspection. also need to know if the rear gears are the same as in my camaro? I have changed them and want to change the vettes. looking at changing to 3.73 gears. not looking for a 6 sec car just want it to run better than it does now.

well i dont recommend bypassing the computer on a Vette because your car just might not work at all.And as for the trans and gears;a corvettes trans and rear end can be tempermetal so due to its complexity dont play around with it.maybe some drag tires and larger intake manifold and accel runners would be great along with hydrualic balancers and maybe some JBA headers too...After all this tire smokin torque i think your gonna need some new goodyears....
