I have a recently purchased '62 vette. Great paint job, but chrome looks like it could use some work. How much should I expect to pay for a rechrome of the bumpers?

2nd question - my trunk has a round cover that fits over the spare tire (it's basically a piece of wood). What else should be back there - I've seen parts for both a trunk liner and trunk mat..should i purchase both? thanks

If it is a driver and you dont want to spend the hi$$$ for a rubber trunk liner mat. I purhased some red carpeting with some black thread (my 62 is red w/black interior) Made a paper pattern of the inside of the trunk and cut the rug.

BTW any radial tire in the trunk well will not permit the round wood cover to seat all they way down. It is hard to notice with the carpeting.

Hi Iv'e been doing some checking on this for My 62. What Iv'e found is You need a trunk mat available red black or fawn which is rubber and covers the plywood board. Also a trunk liner which is cardboard and goes across the front of the trunk. If You have a power top You need a molded trunk liner. See page 104 Central Corvette C1 catalog. Hope this helps Gary
