Hello, My name is John Chesnut. Awhile back I posted some pics of a car that I was building from scratch. I had to stop for over a year while I dealt with some health issues. During that time I have moved into my retirement home and generally downsized.
I am back to working on my car. I thought that you might like to see some pics. I build an all aluminum chassis, moved the engine rearward by 22 inches and sculpted the 50's influenced Speedster body. Total weight is under 1900lbs.
I bought parts from a wrecked Z06 so I didn't ruin a perfectly good Vette. Engine is a new LS6, Fast intake and 90 mm throttle body. I am looking into cams at this time. My goal is to get the car done by the end of summer. I am hoping that if you click on the pics they will blow up for you. Here goes. Thanks for looking, John

Corvette Don, Loved the video! I am going to be finishing my shop in the next couple of weeks. Then I am going to tear the car down and reassemble it. While I put it back together I will take pictures and post them as I go. I will post pictures of the interior as I complete it. When done I will get some video and post that too.

I am going to offer this car as a kit to compete with all of the those Mustang based Cobras. Please go to www.chesnutmotorsports.net for more information.

The headlights are MINI COOPER. The tail lights are DOT approved and mount behind the rear slots. The vent openings and the tailights get polished aluminum coverings. Thanks for the support. John
