I say this because I used it in my other car, older Honda, I know, not a Vette but I would rather get my info from you all instead of elsewhere!
So I put that silver dust in the radiator and it sealed the small leak but typically how long does that stuff hold up? Thanks guys!

Used it in our old Mazda and it lasted for at least a year. Then we sold the car. Cheaper than getting the radiator fixed and easier than pulling the radiator.

Never use that type of crap. It clogs up the tubes in your radiator, reducing your cooling capacity.
Also, it might hold for awhile but always fails, usually at the worst time.
Get a new radiator. Always use the correct cooling mixture to avoid corrosion. If you run straight water your radiator and heater core will rust out in short order.......

Now for older cars that aren't anything special, say like a 1998 Honda Accord, this would be fine in my opinion.

my vette is a 1998 and every car is special when you are trying to go someplace
All cars have pressurized cooling systems and that stuff is not fine. It is just a temporary fix, if you have ever used it you would know......
