How hard is it to polish aluminum wheels yourself? Once I have polished is it best to spray some clear coat or just keep polishing them?

Thanks

On my C3s I used "Blue Magic" I think, it smelled like amonia but man did it make em shine, after ALOT of elbow grease. I removed em to polish and then painted the insides the body color as well! Coating them might be a good option, I never did though so I can't comment on that.

This is kinda old school, I haven't seen raw aluminum wheels for awhile!

You might be able to speed up the process with a high speed drill with buffer bit on the end?

I think you will want to clear coat them at the end. From what I have heard/read the upkeep on polished wheels is a nightmare! Just a tip for you.

Is there any special clear coat I should use? Or just clear coat in the can at Napa?

To get clear coat to stick to polished wheels you will probably need to get them powdercoated.

I think Zoops makes a sealer to keep them from oxidizing.

This is what I plan to use when I get my magnesium wheels polished.
