Ordered new tires today from Discount Tire Direct today. My rear tires were worn on insides so going to get an alignment. I was hoping to buy Goodyear Eagle F1s again but rear tire size is being discontinued (315/35/17) So going with Nitto NT555's.

Discount was very good to deal with and cost was only $708.

Anyone else have them on there vette?

I was just looking at those nito tires at summit. They are very very soft I don't think you will get very many miles on them.

Let us know what you think of the Nitto's. I'm running the Eagle F1's right now and really like them.

I really liked the Eagle F1's as well. I would have bought a set of them if the rears would have been available. I'll post pics when they get installed. I'm going to give the F1s a good send off by smokin' them off.

I think you were looking at the NT555Rs. They are the competition version of the tires I'm getting. They look almost the same but a lot less tread and a wear rating of 100. My tires have a wear rating of 300.

Never used those Nitto's, but I am on my 2nd set of Nitto Invos on my C6. Great tire!! Great traction and a quiet ride.

Let us know how you like them. Might be my next set for the 85 after I am finished with my current tires.:burnout::burnout::coffeetime:

Yeah I think the tread wear on the 555r is around 60 or so, really soft!

I'm running the Nitto 555 Extremes right now. Good solid tire, smooth ride, awesome dry traction but awful wet traction.

I replaced my Eagle F1's with the Nittos. The Eagles have awesome traction but a real harsh ride.

Pretty much what most reviews say about the tires. I avoid the rain as much as I can unless I get caught in it. The Eagles are great in the rain but I still take it easy with wet roads.

Wouldn't mind a pic of that smoke show either. :rockon6rk:

I finally got my car in to get the tires changed and the 4 wheel alignment. The rear end was badly out of alignment which explains why my Eagle F1s were so badly worn. The Nittos look great on the car. I'll post pics when I can get the car cleaned. It has been raining for 2 days.
The tires were good in the rain, but I don't mess around too much when the roads are wet. I think I'll be really happy with them. More reviews to come.:rockon6rk:
