Orig. owner 23k miles. Recently started to idle very rough & shake when gently accelerating in overdrive prior to downshifting, especially when warmed up. Recently passed state emmisions test. I just added a can of fuel injector cleaner to a fresh tank of gas, no change yet. I wonder if the gas had gone bad as the car sits a lot. Anyone have any suggestions?

This new gas breaks down fast. In my Wellcraft 23 center console boat, I have to pump out the fuel tank every year. This new gas will deteriate and some of it will turn to water. You will be surpised how much! Change your fuel filter and do what you are doing with the injector cleaner. Check your distributer for pitting from condensation and check for rodents that might have chewed on some wires......
