Ford is better!!!! lol:thumbsup: eilax53 04-05-2010, 01:54 PM Hello, I would like to know how hard is it to replace a fuel pump on a 85 vette,What all is invovle and what tools do i need and about how long would the process take.:tool: THANKS. all you gotta do is take off the gas filler door and inner tray... i believe its like 4 star bolts. then once that is off you will see that there are, i think, 12 bolts to take off and that will allow you to remove the sending unit. Also need to remove the rubber hoses attaching to the fuel lines to the sending unit and electrical connectors. The pump is attached to the sending unit and u can just replace the pump on a bench. Then do the reverse.
