Hello I hope I'm posting this in the right area. The car is a 1972 Corvette. I don't know much about these cars other than my ex husband left me this car. He had spent nearly 5 or 6 years fixing this car up. It ran beautifully 3 years ago when we separated and he moved over seas and the car has been parked since. I recently moved closer to the beach and the only thing left at the old house is this car. I tried starting it and nothing happened? No lights or nothing came on? My girl friend said it might be a dead battery. Before running out and buying a new battery I thought I would sign up and ask here first.

after that much time of not running the battery is more then likely shot. Go ahead and buy a new one. You might want to get some one that knows a little about old carb cars to help you get it started the frist time.
