1st post on smokinvette:
I have recently traded in my 2005 C6 for a 2006 Z06 and would like to lower the car. I don't want to go to far and through off the cars handling. Is there a rule of thumb to follow? Any measurements available?

<1" generally without changes. However having the car cornerweighted (not necessary unless you have adjustable end links on the sway bar) and a performance alignment will result in a car with less bad manners in tight turns or going over bumps in turns. Not to mention slower tire wear. Yes you can have your cake and eat it too! :D

I think that the ride hieght is just fine where it is. Although if you are into racing then maybe you would want to lower your Z a bit! To each their own!

Mine seems low enough on stock..but you can lower it <1" on stock bolts. Any lower and you're going to have some issue, I would imagine.
