We all have done it - taking an off ramp and seeing how far you can push the around the corner to periodically see how high of "G's" you can get. I'm at .72 G's today.

I have hit .79 on a exit ramp off the 405! Haven't really pushed it hard though. I have read from others with the HUD hitting in the .90's and over 1!

I have HUD, yet don't know where it says about G's?? Am I looking in the wrong spot?

On the left hand side of your dash there is a mode button you can flip through that will give you different options of HUD. I have hit .80 G's myself!

You know what? I have never had the HUD on that setting to show "G's". I'm curious now because sometimes I go zipping around corners at times. Time to play with the HUD settings.

Finally found what you guys where talking about, I had the HUD on the wrong setting, this weekend I managed to personalize my cars settings and found the heads up display that shows the "G's".

I think the most daring I have gone is around .80, not that daring of a Vette driver. :D

A Z06 will "on paper" max out at around 1 G, with OEM street tires. With R compound tires and coil overs it's higher. Add racing slicks higher.
If you want to find out how many G's you can push, I wouldn't do it near any guard rail. The edge between where your tires are near the limit and where the car looses grip and rotates is very narrowl!
Our home track(Autobahn), is a safe place to push the limits since most turns have large grassy run off areas. If you loose it, no damage. A number of my friends have data aquisition systems that record data around the track (motec, tracmate) which can be reviewed later after the session is over. Most with slicks can slightly exceed one G in turns.

That sounds more fun than our track in Joliet!
