I was just on the phone with the guy who sold me this 1973 Vette and he was saying that the gas tank will need to be replaced that he remembers it having a hole in it somewheres? Are there ways to repair gas tanks or is it cheaper to get new/used one?
Thanks

Dang it! :smack: Another answer I wasn't looking for! ha ha ha, any idea what a tank cost? Who has the best price? Would you recommend getting one from a salvage yard?
Thanks for the help

As soon as you fix one leak another one will pop up,it's best to pull it and install a new one, then no more worries.

Google can be your best friend. Also ebay and craigslist.

Restoring a '73 also, I have been going to as mentioned ebay and craigslist. On craigslist keep looking around in other cities if you don't find what you are looking for in your local town.

Thanks for the tips. This weekend I spent a couple hours on craigslist alone. Some pretty good deals there. I was looking all over the U.S.
