Whats a good aggressive exhaust for 1988 Corvette? Some thing with good muscle car sound, and a few more ponies under the hood would be nice also.

THIS IS MY '84 c4 WITH THE CROSS-FIRE 350..( Click the link underneath the picture of the car ).....
....THE ZR-1 3" CAT-BACK from TPIS (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/L98-TPI-C4-TPIS-Corvette-Cat-Back-Exhaust-System_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742Q2em153Q2el1 262QQcategoryZ33630QQihZ017QQitemZ270214112326QQtc Zphoto)
....I HAVE THIS Cat-back.......YOUR '88 WOULD SOUND PRETTY AGGRESSIVE WITH THIS SET-UP..
..COULD BRING A 40 hp GAIN.......and it looks Bad-*** from the back..... I have linked a system like the one I have ,
I found it on Ebay.com...Check it out, I'd think that would sound really nice and DEEP on your '88 LT1

Very cool, thanks for the link. What size tires you have in the rear?

Yeah I have some fat tires in back 17"x11" wrapped in Goodyear GS-C's 315/35's they practically stick out of the wells

Tell me what you end up getting or if you go with the TPIS system you will love TPIS I love it, It shakes all the tools, the ladder and whatever is stored on the wall of my garage

I'm running hedmann elites with a dual 3 in system w/ xpipe and 2 flowmaster 40s. And it sounds very aggressive. If thats not good enough just run open headers lol.

I had run into a bit of a problem on my Vette with an exhaust leak on the right side header. I went to Sanderson's Header's in So. San Francisco and purchased a set of custom made headers with a very resonable price in $180 (my price). I then ordered a new set of front Y pipes from Central Corvette minus the front Cats. Gutted my own Cat when it went south and clogged the rear Y pipe with the honey combed gunk. I did purchase a new Magnaflow center Cat for only $150. This I will install only when I need to smog the car. Otherwise no Cats are on the car. New rear Y pipe from Central Corvette. And a set of GT Style mufflers again from Central Corvette I got while on sale at $149.95 from the standard price of $169.95. I installed all this myself at home in my nice cozy garage. Here is a photo of the GT muffler. And a shot of the rear of the car with all attached. The car now sounds so much better than it ever did before with the stock exhaust system and I can feel the difference.

Muffler deletes!! I'll sing their praise all day long...cheapest & most wicked sound by far!

Got one better! Nothing silences an import like open headers on a cammed 10.5:1 motor. Theres just this little torque problem tho....... and tickets....... and hearing loss..... you guys hear that ringing in the background?
I do agree with elvis though, on a street vette if you are running cats there is no reason to have a muffler. I find a sbc car with cats and no muffler sounds just right.
