I'm a morning gal that enjoys her coffee. My favorite coffee mug has a metal exterior and plastic insert. Anyway this morning I was reading one of my Vette magazines and found a article I wanted to look up on the internet. My coffee was getting cold and without thinking I placed it in the microwave and hit it for 2 minutes and went up stairs to get on the internet. About 5 minutes later I started to smell this burning smell! I went down stairs and little black "floaties" where in the air, I put the wrong cup in the microwave!!! :thud: I opened up the door and the entire inside of the microwave that is only a couple months old is black!! :(
Gotta pay more attention next time! Whole house now smells like a burnt metal! :willy_nilly:

The microwave is good for scrambled eggs, just scramble them 'fore you cook them. I think a whole egg could get messy.

 Yeah, I tried that one waaaayyyy back in college when I got a music CD a friend recommended. Took it home - music really sucked - bad! Hmm, 3 seconds -broil in the 'wave, voila: It won't play. Took it back, they couldn't get it to play and "had never seen this before". They gave me the EXACT same CD again. :smack:
At least I could take back the "unopened" one for store credit.:p

I once put a french bread pizza in an old microwave with a dial instead of digital readout. Thought the knob was for seconds. Thought why only 60 seconds on this thing.......oh well cranked it to 60 and walked away. Came back about 20 minutes later, pizza was a black molten flaming thing now, melted into the bottom of the microwave. Lesson learned......... dont assume anything lol.

I decided to show my son what a genius his father was by instructing him how to cook an egg in a microwave. I took a whole egg and poked a small hole at the top of the egg with a toothpick. I then placed it in the microwave. The egg exploded all over the place and made a big mess. My wife just looked at me at laughed at the *** she married.:smack:
