I purchased a 98 with 64k miles and the transmission has gone. While its open the shop is talking to me about adding a stall converter. mine has 3:42 gears now and HAD a stock converter. I am a conservative driver, yet wonder if a car like this should have more umph off the line. Yet, want my wife to enjoy going out to eat in it, or just for a cruise. Anyone else invested in one of these? Between part and additional "laptop" syncing the new converter to the computer, it's going to add another $800 to the job. Worth it? Votes?

A stall converter with a higher stall will give the perceived kick in the ***, however, unless you do other mods, I don't see how it's worth it.
