Is it true that the RPMs will drop really fast with an aluminum flywheel? Is this a good thing?

Yes, with an aluminum flywheel the engine revs up quicker and slows down quicker. It's a good thing if you're track racing but not good for street use. The weight of a flywheel is what helps you take off smoothly and it smooths out the power impulses from your engine.

On flywheel, The bolts I removed had no lockwashers. The new bolts from Napa had none neither. When I tried to add lock washers, Didnt seem like enough thread was used. So I went back to original no lock washers and just Thread lock. Will bolts hold? Dont want that happening.

They don't use lock washers

Another thing to consider is that the dual mass flywheel is there to dampen the vibration transmitted to the ZF 6 speed. Because the gears are cut pretty straight, especially since you should have a black tag unit, you can get that rocks in a can sound at idle with a single mass or aluminum flywheel.

Now the benefits though on say a stock/ish motor would not be that noticeable though right?
