Cylinder #7 fills with fuel. Injector reads normal on Ohm meter (between 10 & 15). how can i check for leaky injector?

Do you mean filling up when it sits? If so I think you have kind of answered your own question, if the cylinder is filling up with fuel, your injector is sticking open.

Make sure do do the resistance check when the engine/injectors are warmed up. Sometimes a cold injector will read fine but runs like crap once warmed up.

Our stock Multec injectors are known to be pretty bad and not have a great long life.

What are the most reliable after-market injector sets? ... bosch? - etc?

I've heard a lot of people talk about the Bosch III and seem to like them.
Accel I haven't heard anything good about those.

I have modified Bosch III's to fit the longer length of our stock injectors and am very pleased with them.

If you have a wet cylinder you have a leaky injector. A resistance of 10 or below is indicative of an injector "going bad". Bad Karma is absolutely correct. The multecs are notorious for coil failure. The bosch lll's are the best way to go. We have found that the Bosch fuel injector, specifically the “Design lll” has become our most popular selling fuel injector not only for Corvette, Camaro, Firebird, etc. but for most domestic applications. To date they have been virtually “trouble-free”. The multi-orifice technology allows for improved atomization across various pressures without compromising the spray pattern. The multecs have a tendency to “shut down” @ approximately 60psi where the bosch fuel injectors run up to a minimum of 80psi and a maximum of 100psi. The bosch has a more consistent spray pattern and is more reliable than the multecs. We have received all positive feedback on the Bosch injectors with claims of much better idle characteristics and overall performance through the power range.
If you have any questions or if we can help you in any way, please do not hesitate to give us a call! We have designed an adapter that fits onto the bottom of the injector which solves all fitment issues. Our Bosch lll's are "Plug N Play" for TPi setups. We have them in 19lb, 22lb, 24lb, 27lb, 36lb, and 42lb. If you are looking for a different size we can provide custom flow rates.
Hope this answered your question.!

I have a request in to be a sponsor, hope to get a response soon.

Just making an offer.

I'll tell you what, if you go to one of my competitors, go to

They are a well respected company. I will pay for your injectors if you buy from them.

How's that. I don't want the business. Just sayin.

Hey HighLow, I hear you on the cut throat thing - we are very good friends with many companies that some people might think our our competitors.

Thing is, we don't believe in having "shills" pretend to be customers and post on our behalf - and neither do the fine companies we are both friends and, yeah, sometimes competitors with.

Just curious why you keep bumping 2 year old threads with nothing more helpful than a comment on "you should buy from this company" comment?

I think THAT is a "no no" :)

I have been following many forums for many years. Most of the time I read and i learn, and sometimes i make a comment here and there. I belong to a car club in which southbay has been instrumental in helping myself and many of my friends. It happens to be a great company, and yes when i have the opportunity just as MANY other members do for other companies or competitors, i put in a good word.
Follow your own posts, between you and injectors plus you have been breaking my chops about being a shill, truely, Southbay's reputation does not need any help from me. They are a well respected company. When injectors plus joined this forum he was a member, and on his first day he started with his antics. He did not like my post that was in defense of southbay because what HE did as a member was not right. Immediately after he sent me a PM telling me that southbay was not an honorable company. What was that all about??? :wtf: Never even heard of injectors plus? Sorry man, if i was a shill i would have posted the entire pm but i didn't. Why can't you guys just worry about yourselves? Seems like you and injectors plus are the one's doing all the "pissin and moanin" not southbay, and not me. So who are the one's not being "honorable" here? I am referring to injectors plus because i see that you are one in the same...from the same company, joined the forum the same time, could be the same person for all i know??
Never saw any of this nonsense on this forum until "yous two" came along...how disappointing.
You know, i am the type of person who likes to give everyone a chance, but in this situation....can't do it and from what i can see...you are both :postwhore:
You complain that you never hear from me, well now you did, ya happy? I am  :beerbang:

Hey HighLow, very true that YOU can't know we're not the same person - but importantly, the ADMINS can (geographically different computer addresses - and we like FAST CARS, but even WE can't drive THAT fast! :)

Guess what I find bizarre is that you dredge up threads that have been dead for over a year, then just post a pimp on it. Seems odd is all.

True you don't post much, and I guess that adds to the confusion - you've posted under 20 times before I personally joined, and of those posts, around 90% are simply saying "use this vendor" - including the ANCIENT posts you dredged up and bumped. Is that your version of being a :postwhore:? :)

Just curious - what inspired you to find really old posts and bump them?

Cheers!

I am going to feed into this nonsense for the last time. Let me begin by making myself perfectly clear....i do not have to answer to you or injector plus for anything. If i add a post 5x or 100x is none of your concern, what i say and who i say it to is none of your concern.
In response to your question...i did not pay attention to the date on the post in question. It was an error on my part which i am man enough to admit. I have better things to do than to dig up posts from the dead so that i can "Shill" You might argue that i am not the "sharpest tool in the shed", but i am not that stupid.
It is amazing how 2 new vendors have found a way in less than a week or so to attack the members of this forum instead of supporting them. A tremendous amount of energy has been put into this by the both of you,, you should be putting the same amount of energy into supporting this forum and its members the way you are supposed to.
Ciao!

So basically no denials from anywhere to being a shill.

FYI, I have contributed to this forum in ways far beyond the crap you post. I have responded to technical issues beyond fuel injectors, not every one of my post in a tech section is "buy my stuff". I have put projects of a new ECU up that many people seem to be interested in (since I've actually worked on cars I can do that), I have given industry insights based on my history, knowledge, and contacts in the industry. I have referenced articles written for me by industry experts when questions were asked.

Tell ya what sparky, I'd put my week of 200plus contributions where less than 5% are "buy my stuff" against your 20 posts where 90% were shill posts.

Just so you know, you're not fooling anyone. And you're right, you're not the brightest bulb. You say you didn't look at the dates, but they were so far back, you found them. So just admit it, you searched on fuel injector to pimp SB. C'mon be honest. There's no other way you'd find those old threads, and your responses to them weren't technical. So WHY?

Anyway, here's why this bothers me, and always has for those who know me....

Shills kill a forum. Whether it's cyl heads or injectors. You can't trust a forum filled with shills. How do you know if you're getting an honest representation for a product when the people giving that representation are not forthcoming with their relationship with the forum. That is why it is illegal. That is why I asked the owners of the forum to adopt a no shill policy.

Also, it diminishes all vendors. If I had a sill here (which I could have EASILY done with Val) and it's so blatant, how do I know that ANY accolades aren't being posted by other shills. Lie to me once and all that. It's just not good for anyone.

I like this place and don't want to see it go down the tubes like so many other forums with product pimps.

Well, off to my kids baseball games, then working on the car. Have a good day all.
