Anyone replace the stock gauges with digital gauges in their C3? How did it turn out? Any photos you can share?

Thanks

YES, especially if your car is a convertible, I had a '87 rag top vette, and it was HELL to see the damn gauges in sunlight of any type.....

and you never see a serious race car with dig it all gauges....

If you haven't seen any my other post I'll tell you I paid $1200 for this '73 Vette, when I say its a project, I'm saying this car is a big project. Just about everything needs to be fixed. I'm fishing around for different ideas that will make this car stand out. I'm not looking to restore to OEM but make it unique. So any ideas you might have, that you can suggest, I'm open. Thanks

If you insist on changing the gauges, consider going with a nice set of AutoMeter white faced gauges. Better still, if all your gauges work, then go to www.whitegauges.net and get a conversion kit.

How about trying to retro-fit a C5 style dash into a C3? Just a thought. This idea has been on my mind to try. Yep, i'm a sucker for punishment type ideas:lol:

C5 dash... hmmm that is a pretty good idea. If I could manage to get parts from a C5 to fit in here that would make this car really unique!

I think I'm going to go to dealer after work and look at a C5 and get idea on the dash measurements.

Good looking out!

Yep, I'm a little bit old school. Here's how I solved the gauge thing. No cutting required.. Little bit of fabbing for the mounting but that's it.

Gauges look good there, going digital is not my taste. Just wouldn't work. There are so many other things you can do to these cars to make them stand out. The paint being a big one! Good luck

I'm in the same boat in believing the digital gauges not the best way to go IMHO, give the car a wild paint job to get it to stand out. The analog gauges look much better.

It was just an idea that I now have scratched. I think I will end up going with a wild paint job.
