My car under accelleration is blowing out white smoke??? Any ideas what this is from?

How do I check or find out that it might be the head gasket aside from pulling the motor apart?

Check oil for coolant contamination and vice/versa. Remove oil filler cap on valve cover and check for white/brown residue. If so, coolant might have mixed with oil. Can your engine keep temps down easily or does it overheat. Also an indication for gasket trouble.
