While I was coming home from a meeting with Doug and Al from DTS (Dynamic Tuning Solutions) I was run up on by a new Bentley Continental GT! I was in the fast lane and they were in the carpool lane. As they rolled up (quite fast) I looked over and they were two preppy guys with button up shirts on and just smilling! Well they punched it and took off. Seeing this I was not about to let them get off that easy! So I got into the carpool lane and got right up behind them and then I jump on my Vette and passed them like they did me. After that I thougt it was over, but they came back up to me and we both rolled down our windows to chat!! They yelled "Lets go!" and I replied that they paid too much for their car. Anyways, as I heard the gear drop in their car I downshifted into 3rd and was sitting at about 4200rpms. They didn't even wait for 3 beeps, they just started taking off! Well they got about a half car in front of me when I mashed the "GO" pedal and walked on them bad!!! I took the Vette to almost 7K in third and when I shifted into forth I was already a handful of cars in front of them!! Well after that they just pulled up and gave me a thumbs up then took off. Lesson learned, just because you have alot of money does not mean that your car is unstoppable!! Especially when you come up on a built Vette!!!:cheers:

Great!! That must have felt nice when you pulled on him that fast!! I would love to have seen that one, or actually their faces as a car that is a hell of alot cheaper blows right past them!!:lol: I'll bet that they were the type of people that will say that they let off the gas or something like that! Great work putting that Bentley in it's place!!:cheers:

My old tired overdrive '72, pushing maybe 400 horse, but 425 supposed ft lbs.....this S5 Audi comes up to play...pulled him 120-150 about 4-6 car lengths, him in a coupe, ME with my top/windows down......

IMO, gotta have the top/windows down to do a good run, otherwise any car is the same from 50-200 mph.....just the phone poles pass quicker.....

Those Bently GTs are actually pretty nice, but they are VERY heavy, and VERY expensive!
