!988---Door lock works with the key and with the slide on the inside of the car. They are both stiff. I think it is faulty Actuator. Got the dood panel off--no problem, I see the actuator. Now the problem. No way to reach the fasteners that hold the bracket that holds the actuator. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I could contiue taking the door apart but don't want to do something needlessly or break something I shouldn't have messed with in the first place.
Thank s

There has to be a way to reach the bolts. Because it had to be able to be put together in the first place.

Your right about that. I think the engineers or designers who put these cars together are either sadist or stupid. the two fasteners for the actuator appear to be screws --put in from the back side of a large bracket. OR they could be rivets. If they are screws this bracket will have to be removed. A lot of screws and Rods to be realigned. If the Actuators fasteners had been put in from the front side of the bracet it would have been a simple job to remove. Makes no sense to be to make things so complicated when simple would work. Thought someone might know a short cut. If not !!!!! well I will let you know how it comes out.
