Hopefully not too dumb of a question and hopefully I'll never be in a position where I'll have to try it!
I used to have to do it all the time with my old Ford Ranger, get it rolling and pop the clutch while in first gear and away you go!
I just thought that with all the computer stuff on these that maybe it wasn't possible?

cant tell you how many i have to jump when I go to Carlisle every year. You sit all weekend with your hood up and doors open your going to have a dead battery. I had to jump mine when I started it up for the first time, Once it got charged enough no problem. Ive used cables and I have a jumpbox

See for yourself. Accelerate up to 50mph, put the clutch in and turn off the ignition, and coast, then turn the ign on without engaging the starter and let the clutch out, and then you will have the rest of the story. It is a demonstration of a push start feasability though, not a jump start:rofl:

A completely dead battery = No Ignition unless you're already rolling fast enough for the altenator to make power.

Push start is only feasable with these cars for a bad starter, if the battery is dead it will not start by hand pushing it.
