My front tires will be needing to get replace shortly and I can get a nearly brand new set of tires for next to nothing.
The think is, I'm running Nitto and these other fronts are Toyos.
I am sure there will be some naysayers.

As long as they have the correct specs it is no problem. After all, the original tires are entirely different sizes front to back..............

I ran Toyo's front and Goodyear RF on rear for two years no problems

:iagree: I will admit, if I could I would rather have matching tires, but if I didn't have the funds...f 'em, it's my car and I'm doing the best I can. Not all vette owners are filthy rich, Lord knows I'm not.

Personally, I would always put the same brand on.

If you agree that each tire has it's own ride and handeling characteristics, why wouldn't want them to be the same?
Besides, it will look like the car came from a used car lot with a mismatched set of tires.

So, you think that a Goodyear 245/45-17 has the same ride and handling characteristics as a Goodyear 275/40-18 and looks the same?:rofl::rofl:
Not true, the only thing that will be the same is the name on the side of the tire. As soon as you change any aspect of the tire size you change its handling and ride..............

I would not do it either, not on this car.
