This is my first car I'm restoring and have the body off the frame, motor removed, etc. The frame has alot of rust on it and I was wondering what is the easiest way to remove the rust? I was thinking sand blasting? Which could be a hugh mess?

Sand blasting would be the way to go, build a tarp room around it and get your self a respirator and goggles and you should be good to go.

There are some chemicals that will do the job, messy in a different way than the sand blasting. You definitely want very good ventilation using this stuff.

I had mine sand blasted $180.00, he did a great job. I had some rust by the gussets which I fixed and made new gussets. I used POR 15 frame paint' I feel its a very good way to do the frame.

Did they come out to you or did you bring the frame to them?
