HA HA HA!! I race mine all the time!! Everychance that I get I will race it as long as there are'nt many other cars around that can get in the way!!:cheers:

Every so often I'll get into the throttle! No professional here.

It seems that every time I take out the Z there is someone who wants to race, or just get on the go petal. Mostly it's young guys just egging you on to see what your car can do. All in fun but I don't need the tickets. :huh: I just go to the track instead.

yep same here and it is with an old c4 i would hate to see ho bad some of the new vette get it

It used to be that if you built a car bad enough,you never had to prove yourself.That's not the case anymore! I get a few challenges almost everytime I take a cruise in it.Usually it is in heavy traffic and nowhere to go anyway's .(go figure!)I guess because it's old,it's also slow?Mustangs,ricers,and so on,they got to pick on the old vette!They make it hard to be good!:burnout:

I'm at the track RR approx once per week weather permitting. Love it.

Get tired off young high school kids pulling up next to me in their little rice burners. Knowing I could take them is enough for me. They need to pay some of those tickets I had when I was their age. Good thing I didn't have my vette back then. I would never be able to afford insurance now.

still doing some mods to my baby want to make shure its ready! nitrous rulles if it doesn't go fast enough just jack it up a bit of cource it could cost ya a new motor

I bought a 300Hp engine off the Shop floor, dynoed out at 300.
forged pistons and 4 bolt main, i also own an Automotive repair buissness, so we have access to lots of componants and information;
I did install the Edlebrock performer series carb and manifold, and yes the hood will close if you use the right air cleaner, it is tight though, holly makes a beautiful one for about $450.00 that will fit for sure. The conversion is quite intense, i had to bypass the Overdrive relay etc and many other issues that had to be cleaned up along the way, fuel pump install etc, wiring harness cleanup.
It took me about 2 days to complete the project; The outcome was very satisfying, lovely idle, no more restricted intake and lots of power.
