My 1998 C5 spent 6 months in the body shop while being painted. When I got it out, I drove down the highway about 60 mph in sixth gear and the check engine light came on. When I checked it with the scanner, all I had was a bad O2 Sensor (Bank 2 Sensor 1). I found that what set it off was the PCV Valve Line was corroded and leaking. The monitors on the cat and heater have not shut off. This car has ram air, headers, high flow cat-back system and my. On the rear O2 sensors, the wiring on the left side was hooked on the right and vice versa. This did not look right to me so I swapped them back around. On the highway, my rear O2 counts are at about 700, but when I drive for a long time, the left side will go down to about 165 and the right side will go down to about 550. My question is: If i were to send my computer in and have it set to ignore the monitors, are my rear O2 sensors on the correct side now? And is there any other way to turn off the cat and heater monitor??? Thank you so much!
