I think it would work for us to help those people who are DIY'ers. Realistically I wouldn't see people who tune for a living posting questions up though. If you have customers that frequent this board they're going to be worried if they see a post about their car. :lol:

Just like everything else I'm sure there's a lot of disinfo that can get cleared up if there are open discussions about it. I also think it can open up a can of worms though if the truth about someones tuning abilties or lack there of are brought forth as examples of things not to do (I for sure have one vendor in mind that I just bite my tongue when he posts and I know others feel the same way about him). :leaving:

David, All very good points. That's the main reason for the initial post. I wanted to find out from those who tune on a daily basis whether or not this would be useful to them. It could be that PM/email/phone conversations between tuners would be more positive in general though. Or that you must be a supporting tuner/vendor to have access to that area of the forum. All kinds of ideas are coming out of this post.

The DIY arena is covered very well on the HP Tuners & EFI Live forums. However some tuners have strengths/knowledge in one area that may be very useful to another tuner. I wouldn't discuss individual customers - but particular or recurring issues that one found a solution for would be helpful to all. I always enjoy a good A-HA! moment myself. :D

My personal motto is: What did I learn today. If I learned something today, then today was a success. I haven't had an unsuccessful day yet! :D
