My driver side window sticks every so often, to get it to go all the way down you need to raise it up then back back down and generally after a couple times it will go all the way down? Would this be a motor issue or the mechanical side of the window?

Sounds more like the track to me.

Thought it was just the early C4 w/this problem, how many miles on car, however I might remove door panel, take a close look as you run window up/down, otherwise may be lift motor conking out, drivers side gets the wear.

I will take the door apart and see what I have. Is there a way to test the motor to see if it is going bad?
