I have a 1999 with the standard sterio. The digital display stopped working. The next day it was working again. It's come and gone off a couple of times and is now off. All functionality for the radio and disc player works fine, just can't tell time, station, track, etc. Any ideas what's causing this and what I need to do?

This is the first I've heard of the Radio display doing this, it's a problem with the dual climate control (HVAC) unit though...

On the HAVC fix, there are several resistors that require resoldering to bring the display back. This sounds like the exact same problem. However on the HVAC, the power board driving the display is accessible, I’m not sure about the Radio, here’s a Pic of mine tore apart for a light color change;

I'm not sure if you can fix it yourself, if you want to dig into your Radio further then I have showen, we might be able to find the display driver... dunno.
