I haven't owned this car too long and every time you step on brake and put into hear you get a rattle noise from the rear? This could be from low or bad transmission oil right? I'm going to try to get to automotive store today to get some tranny fluid. Any idea's how many quarts a '87 uses?

Thanks

Change filter and oil and while you are at it, you can clean the magnet at the bottom of the pan to clean out the metal filings (they will be black and very fine). At that point, you can smell the fluid you take out of the pan. If it smells burnt, you might have a problem. It is easy to do and you can do it on Jack stands. Put bolts back on (16) at 15 to 20 ft lbs cross braided. Also, the filter comes with the new O ring and gasket. Put a little gasket glue just to hold on gasket to pan in spots. Very easy job. The hardest part will be getting out the corbonized O ring if the filter is original....jim
