Pictured below is progress on cage to accomodate new ACP roof. The new roof allows the removal of the A and B pillars (no longer required with cage). That sheds about 40+ lbs from the car (especially up high where the weight is especially rotten) and allows us to expand the area of the cage almost 2" in all directions as the pillars and interior inserts are removed.

Below is shown one of the four nitrogren jacks going in the car. They allow the car to be pulled into a nitrogen canister which immediate raises all four jacks and lifts the car. Ergo you can easily change wheels, brake pads, etc without external jacks. The set of jacks weight about 12 lbs.

You'll cut the roof off for 40lbs, but install 12lbs of weight to not use a floor jack? (just bustin ya)

That looks great, nice cage work! I'm right at the point now where I am deciding whether to cut the roof off of mine, or just leave it. I'm just out there for fun so decisions decisions. (I'll probably cut it)

Are you going lexan or glass?

Going Lexan.

Aside from looking cool when you plug the car into the nitrogen, our cars are so darn lowered, it's a little tricky to jack these babys up! My new uprights are set up for lowering the car approx 2.5 inches.

Assume you are lowering your's similar amt?
