I have heard that this lasts a long time, longer than dielectric grease. I am going to give mine a coating this weekend coming up if it's dry out and just want to put the best stuff on to protect them.

:goodpost: Petroleum based products can deteriorate weatherstripping rubber. That's why GM recommends dielectric grease.

You would think that with the PJ everything would stick to it and you would have a big ugly mess on your hands.

I thought any petroleum base lubes were distructive to weatherstripping. An autotrim shop owner recommended "Vinylex" to me. Since he has been doing hi end cars for 30+ years I would think he knows what he is talking about.

I use 303 Aerospace Protectant, and love how it works!!! Best thing on rubber and vinyl.

I use some stuff called Sil-Gel. Got it at NAPA. Stuff is great. Just use a little and it works fine.
