Which is a better battery? Both being dry cells is there really much difference? Thanks

Go by CCA, the higher the better. The recommended battery is a Gel Core battery for the rare instance one should develop a leak. Here's a really good write-up;

I just replaced mine and later found out it was the alternator that was bad in the car. The shop that installed the alternator recommended next time I replace the batter to get a Odyssey, and this will out last any other battery?

7 years? I have never had a battery last longer than 3 years! Time to look into changing.

7 years is a long time. Either way you pick up a optima or odyssey that battery is not only be better than what you have, but also kick start your car more!

I ordered the same and It may be in my head but I can tell the car starts alot better with this battery compared to the old. It just seems like there is more power starting the car? Does that sound right, you know what I mean?

Yes they use the same hardware from the stock. :cheers:

We are using the yellow top Optima in our silver vette and the red odyssey in our black vette. Great batteries!

Optima is the only battery I use in my cars. IMHO I think its the best. :patriot:
