Anyone try modifying Hooker side exhaust kits for older Vettes to work on C5's? I think this could be done? What you think?

Since the floorpan is flat, it would take some cutting of said floorpan. Not sure it's worth the effort and it would be a LOT of effort as you would have to move all the modules and wiring in the footwell on the passengers side, not to mention the drivers side. You would have to put in a "tunnel" for the pipes, and insulate it so you don't roast your feet or legs. Then you would have to figure out how to attach it so it's attractive and not have that "stick on" look. Not to mention the burned legs getting in and out come with side pipes too.

I doubt it has been done on a factory C4/C5/C6 Vette, maybe on a tube chassis though.

I have never been a sidepipe fan. I really don't think they would look very good on a C5
