Hi im new to this, when i drive my vette it changes the gears but once im on the freeway it seems like it doesnt change gear and almost sounds like the car is in nuetral when in drive idk if its the transmission,

What rpm are you showing at what speed?
Is it worse when warm?

If I could remember correctly I was driving 60 n the rpm was going above the 3 but it wouldn't go faster so I slowed down. I went to a mechanic n he said it's the transmision but I was hoping it would be something little since I am low on cash

Yes I didn't mention but I just had my engine rebuilt to so I'm Gina get the transmission fixed thanks for all your guys advice and help

If you are tight for $$$ you can get a working trans (T700 or 4L60; not 4L60E ,the electronic version ) from a regular car and swap the Corvette tailshaft housing over

The guy who rebuilt my engine said he'll charge me 650 to fix the transmission n gauranteed no set backs so I can afford that but thanks for the advice
